My quest for pure, natural and organic products started a few years ago as I was increasingly having irritations over my body, mainly my arms. My face was consistently looking dull and clogged up, and when I didn’t put a lot of products on it would look dry and lifeless. I was eating right and drinking loads of water but no matter what I used it would not get better.
The Culprit?
Well, after a little research I soon realised that the culprit could’ve been the chemicals in my skin care products, mainly SLS and parabens. To my dismay not only are these the prime ingredients used in engine degreasers but they are potentially carcinogenic (Cancer causing). So that prompted my search to find toxic free, natural, organic skin care products.
Unfortunately, a huge number of manufacturers would label their products as ‘natural‘ and ‘organic‘ but when you do a little investigation, you will see they are just as toxic!! The organic industry has risen to approximately $30 billion, but most of it is fad and hype. So how is the consumer suppose to tell what products are authentic and what products are dangerous?
Aims of this site
My hope is that this site will provide simple and clear information about what are in products so that the consumer can make informed decisions on the best products to buy. By consumers being more aware, this could bring changes to the industry, actually it has started to happen!! When I first started looking into safe toxic free products you would hardly find any information on them but now more and more manufactures have started to listen, the regulators have started to listen to force more legislation into this industry.
Product Reviews
Being a independent representative of Miessence there is a slight slant to their products because this is what I use and find truly ‘natural‘ and ‘organic‘ . However, I want contributions for product reviews from you! There are so many organic products coming online everyweek and here will be a good place to find independent, non-bias reviews, from you, the people that use them.
One thing I would say is that since switch to natural organic products ,there has been a considerably marked difference with my skin and face complexion, no more irritations and many people have commented on how great my skin looks. (I must stress for good skin complexion an internal change is needed as well as an external change).
Could not agree more which is why we ourselves made the switch many years ago for exactly the same reasons.
Its not always easy to find products that are truly organic however it can be done and I find it makes shopping much more enjoyable as you meet amazing people.
